Fewer clicks to change or toggle value of a checkbox field

Currently if you have a checkbox custom field and you would like to check or uncheck the checkbox, you have to click the "..." then change the checkbox value (check or uncheck), then click the OK button.

It would be great if the step of clicking the "..." button could be eliminated and you could just check or uncheck and then click OK to confirm the change.
