Separate Knowledge Base Article attachments from Ticket Attachments

We run scripts to clean our servers from old files not in use anymore. Based on the way the software is set up, when the script deletes these files, the attachments from our KB articles also get deleted. I'd like to see if we can differentiate the way attachments are handled between tickets and KB articles to avoid this type of scenario from happening.
