Search function improvement: Include the “Custom fields” data to the main search results.

It would be great improvement to the Search function if the Custom fields data would be included to the main search results.

At this moment to search Custom fields data the technicians/admins have to:

go to the search page
click Advanced
make sure the main search box is empty
scroll down to the Custom fields data input fields
insert the search phrase into the correct/corresponding Custom field
scroll back up and hit Search (can be skipped if hit enter after inserting the search phrase into the correct/corresponding Custom field)
and then scroll back down to see the search results

All the described steps to make a search is very many steps.

If “Custom fields” data for some reason cannot be included into the main search results then perhaps it would be possible to use the main Search to search the specific “Custom fields” data with search phrase.

For an example if “Custom field name: Search phrase” is inserted to the main search then the search would search the specific Custom field Custom field name and the Search phrase.

If the advanced search is heavy on the servers perhaps You could consider this option for the clients that have the "on-premise" version.

We just deployed a new version that searches for text in custom fields too

According to the comments this feature was already implemented as "main search returns results even if term is in Custom Field", however this isnt working for us at all.

We still have to make use of the described method via Advanced.

Not sure if I am doing something wrong or if this feature is broken.
(or if this just doesnt apply if the custom field is a number field instead of a text field.
