Keep Last status/ Reports status history

We used the ticket system for sales. and have multiple status that the ticket goes through like Quoted, Purchased, Paid, Delivered. But we we close a ticket it leave the last status Resolved. 

We have no way of running reports to see how on how many Quoted Purchased and for how many purchased Paid etc...
