In automation rules, set a 'Date' field to 'today' and 'Date with time' field to 'now'

To do more granular reporting, I need to 'mark' the ticket with timestamps corresponding to changes from one status to another.
In order to do this I need to create new custom fields of type 'Date' and Date with time'.
In the automation rules, I would need to set these custom fields as follows:
Date => set with today's date
Date with time => set with today's date and current time

Obviously, today's date and time cannot be hardcoded.
