Messaging Format Changed?

Previously, it would like like this:

"Hi,

This is how I type."

Now it does this:

"Hi,

This is how I type."

Am I able to change this myself? If not, this needs to be changed immediately. It looks awful, makes me look bad, and if I'm addressing two people they are now jammed together and it's more difficult for them to grasp what's being relayed to them.
