Microsoft Teams Meeting Button on Ticket Page (Deep Link Integration)

Optional feature to integrate Microsoft Teams meeting creation directly from the ticket page, using Microsoft Teams Deep Linking.

Feature overview

Add an optional button on the ticket page, positioned next to “Reply and Close”, visible only to technicians, that opens the Microsoft Teams “Schedule a Meeting” dialog via deep link.

The button would allow technicians to quickly create a new Teams meeting with key information automatically populated from the ticket.

Example label: “Teams Meeting” or “Create Teams Meeting”

When clicking the button, the system should open the Microsoft Teams meeting scheduling dialog using Deep Linking, with the following fields pre-filled:

  • Meeting subject
    • Ticket subject
  • Participants / Attendees
    • Ticket subscribers, technicians, or other relevant users
    • Resolved from their email addresses
  • Meeting body / content
    • Direct link to the ticket URL
    • Optional: ticket ID or reference number

The deep link should be generated according to Microsoft’s official specification:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/platform/concepts/build-and-test/deep-link-workflow#deep-link-to-open-a-meeting-scheduling-dialog

Expected behavior

  • Clicking the button opens Microsoft Teams (desktop or web)
  • A new meeting dialog is shown
  • Subject, attendees and content are already populated
  • The technician can immediately schedule or start the meeting
