Oauth2 authentication needed for Google e-mail

Just like Microsoft, Google is planning to end basic authentication for email accounts this year.  Many customers use Google Workspaces for email, etc. and will need this feature before long.  Below is an article from Sophos, a well known security provider, on the subject.
