Custom ticket forms or templates

Question:

Is there a way that we can allow users to create tickets that have a pre-set template?




Answer:

You can create such templates yourself; here is how to do that.

1. On the Administration tab, select Custom fields.
2. Create the fields you need for the template.
3. Then open each field for editing and select, in which categories each field is to appear.

Now, when the user starts submitting a new ticket and selects a ticket category, the user will see the fields that you have prepared for that category. Other categories will have other fields. Thus, you will have a custom new ticket form for each ticket category.
