Converting helpdesk folder to application (fix for internal server error)

If you get an internal server error message after carefully following the installation instructions, please make sure that your helpdesk folder in IIS has been converted to application. It usually gets done automatically, but sometimes you have to do it by hand.

To convert your helpdesk folder to application:

  1. In the IIS manager window, to the left on the tree in the Default Web Site, there is a “helpdesk” folder.

  2. If it looks like a regular folder and does not have a globe icon on it, right-click on the folder and then select Convert to application.

Note: To access IIS Manager, click Start - Run... then type "inetmgr.exe" and press Enter.
