When adding a shared mailbox I am having difficulty. We use SSO with Jitbit and when logged in as my personal user account as an Admin and adding the account, it always adds my
personal mailbox
instead of the shared one. I have tried going into Incognito mode or running it from a laptop with a browser outside of our domain and it despite entering in the username and password
for the shared item, still my personal mailbox is configured.

That's a known issue with MS's shared mailboxes. Try this: make your shared mailbox an administrator, login as that account, and then setup the mailbox to get it to connect properly.
