How do I upgrade Jitbit Helpdesk to latest version?



Answer:

(0) If it's been more than a year since the purchase of your license or an upgrade to it, you should purchase the upgrade. It is available at a special low price at https://www.jitbit.com/helpdesk/upgrade/ When you complete the order, we will send you a new registration message with the new Download link.

(1) Click on the Download link in the registration message that you received from us when you purchased your license or upgrade. It always points to the latest version. Download the archive and extract it to a temporary folder.

(2) Backup your current helpdesk – both the files and the database.

(3) Make sure your server meets the minimum system requirements.

(4) Overwrite the files in the helpdesk folder (except web.config!) on your server with the files from the temporary folder.

(5) Upgrade the database by running the SetupTool.exe file from the Helpdesk application's bin subfolder.

That's it; if you've done everything right, the new helpdesk should start right off.
